Submit Form PT on MyTax: step by step
For limited liability partnerships (LLPs). The platform works out your Form PT figures from the LLP’s accounts. The LLP submits the return itself on MyTax, through a partner or its compliance officer.
Before you start
- Your Form PT figures from Accountants.com.my: the tax figures on the LLP’s Reports page.
- The MyTax login of the partner or compliance officer who will submit. First time on MyTax? Register for a MyTax account on the MyTax portal first.
- The LLP’s income tax number.
Deadline. Form PT is due within 7 months after the end of the LLP’s financial year. The filing programme usually allows 1 extra month for returns submitted on MyTax. Check the current programme on hasil.gov.my.
Steps
Log in to MyTax
Go to mytax.hasil.gov.my and log in with your identification number and password.
Choose the LLP role
Select the role for the LLP. If it is not listed, apply for the role under Role Application (Permohonan Peranan) first.
Open e-PT
Go to ezHASiL Services, then e-Filing, then choose e-PT.
Choose the year of assessment
Pick the year of assessment shown on your Form PT figures.
Enter your figures
Work through the form section by section, copying each figure from your Form PT figures into the matching item.
Check, sign and submit
Compare the form’s summary with your figures, read the declaration, confirm it and submit.
After you submit
- Keep your proof. Save the acknowledgement receipt and a copy of the submitted return. Upload them to your company on Accountants.com.my so they stay with the year’s records, and keep your own copy for at least 7 years.
- Pay any tax due by the deadline, through ByrHASiL on MyTax or your bank.
- Something looks different? MyTax screens and menu names change from time to time. Follow the closest match, or check the Inland Revenue Board’s own guides at hasil.gov.my.
